Further Success for Utilisoft in Switzerland
Approximately 50% of the participants trading UK electricity currently use Utilisoft's BETTAFlow Controller and Flow GateKeeper combination to comply with the market rules and manage the associated data. Utilisoft integrates directly with existing Energy Trading & Risk Management systems, manipulating trade data received from this source to meet the rules and structures of the BETTA market. BETTAFlow Controller provides a complete electronic set of all of the BETTA flows, presenting a user friendly view of data received and a template for the entry of flows, complete with validation of field content and group structures. Flow GateKeeper is Utilisoft's Java hub & router, validating data flows in both directions. It automates all of the communications tasks required, collecting outgoing information for the central market systems and transforms it and ensures it is valid as per the BETTA data definitions. It also performs this task in reverse for data that participants must receive and process. Trading organisations participating in the UK electricity market are required to send contract notifications to the BETTA central systems which in return provide a number of reports to enable traders to manage their net positions. The Trading Reconciliation Module includes the automation of these manual processes and provides traders with the relevant BETTA information in easy to view/analyse tables.
